Ross was born into a musical family. His childhood involved being around dive bars, open mic nights, and falling asleep at his dad’s band practices. These experiences must have sparked some sort of creative beast in him early on because his creative drive stemming from music has now led him into the world of design. Ross started to design for his own bands, then his friends’ bands, then his friends of friends’ bands, then bands he didn’t even know.
After a while, he put the dream of a career in playing music aside, and in 2010, Ross entered the Communication Design Program at Metro State University of Denver. Even though graduation looms over him at the moment, if you mix what he learned from playing music, such as collaboration, exploration, criticism, persistence, and resilience, with design, that makes for one hell of a combination.
His personal motto: Fail early, fail fast, and fail effectively.
