PURPOSE OF POSITION

Partner with ID’s account teams to build and implement creative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and their campaigns. Additionally, the web developer will work with clients and our team to troubleshoot technical issues and explain complex issues in layman’s terms when necessary. We are looking for an expert in dynamic programming tools and languages that fuel the Web. This position will report to the Director of Client Technical Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Web developer for Intelligent Demand, you may work independently or be part of an expanding team, building and integrating interactive sites. Your role is to make it work, which means testing on various browsers, enhancing and modifying as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user. As a web developer, you will also architect websites and find efficient client-server solutions. You must have an in-depth understanding of extensible platforms and be able to communicate project status, issues and resolutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years expertise in hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and DHTML across a range of browsers
  • 2-3 years experience programming in PHP
  • 2-3 years experience developing and maintaining open source CMS sites including: WordPress, Joomla! and Drupal
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, jquery, and AJAX
  • General familiarity with internet networking
  • Enthusiasm for constantly learning and applying emerging technology, especially Web 2.0
  • Ability to weigh editorial and design concerns against technical constraints
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently on strategic issues with client, capable of managing fairly complex projects
  • Ability to work with a large variety of clients
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment
