What’s your role at ID? Why is this your jam?

I’m a project coordinator at ID. This is a fairly new role here, as we have recently split up our client services team into account and project focuses. It’s been MY JAM helping navigate what this new role looks like and forming a kick-ass project management regime here at ID.

What about modern marketing trips your trigger? What is important about it or interesting?

Modern marketing is the desk job equivalent to being a professional adventurer. We thrill seek through constant industry innovation. While I do spend most of my day at a desk, marketing is constantly shifting from 1.0 to 2.0 and beyond with the evolution of culture, technology, industry, EVERYTHING. Learning best practices and the newest tricks of the trade is a never-ending education. If I can’t be a Sean White, or a modern day Jack Kerouac, marketing is a solid place to land.

What’s your favorite part about your specific role about ID?

In project management, you have to understand how everyone does their job across the agency in order to have the necessary eagle-eye view of projects and how they get done well.  I get to see the client perspective, as well as the internal perspective of what we are doing, which has been an awesome opportunity to gain a big picture insight of marketing. It’s also allowed me to dig down deep in the weeds, learning what it really takes to launch and manage a successful marketing campaign from start to finish.

Tell us about your journey at ID so far. 

I’ve had a pretty cool grassroots growth at ID. I started as an intern, where I worked with the creative, strategy, and client services practice areas. I pretty naturally gravitated towards the client services realm. With ID being such a young, fast-growing company, I’ve been able to contribute to shaping our processes and scaling for continuous growth. My experience building our internal processes and my knowledge across our practice areas lead me to the project management role I am in now.

Tell a joke.

Pick a fictional universe to live in (i.e., Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, the Disney universe, Star Wars, etc.) and explain why.

Rocket Power, for sure. I’m not sure that’s necessarily a “universe”, but there’s infinite games and chilling, and if you wear shoes, they call you a shoebie. I’m in. Woogity, Woogity, Woogity, Woogity… anyone?

What’s your favorite breakfast food?

Tacos. Breakfast tacos. Lunch tacos. Dinner tacos.  Tacos, tacos, tacos.

What is a day in the life of Raleigh Jackson like?

Eat, sleep, sing along to Justin Bieber while geeking out about modern marketing, eat, project plans, project management, try to subdue complete and utter project disarray, tacos, casual run, tacos, Instagram something snowboard-related or super cool trees… repeat.

What song do you blast in your car and sing along to when you think no one is listening?

I don’t sing. But I do scream/cry along to Adele’s “Hello.” (insert basic girl emoji here)

What other Jackson do you most identify with: The Famous Jett, Michael, Tito, or Andrew?

Michael Jackson – my roommate’s cat. He’s a feisty little dude.  When he wants something, he knocks stuff over and pees on things. That’s someone who effectively gets what they want.
