Marty has a long history of working with non-profit organizations where she used her programming, public relations and government affairs experience to bring about impactful changes for individuals, families and communities. She is the former CEO for Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers where she instituted a team-driven business model, increased staff capacity, grew patient volume and stabilized the company’s financial position. Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers are noted for having a culturally competent and diverse staff at all levels of the company which reflects centers’ patient population. In addition, Marty was instrumental in forging significant community partnerships with major hospital systems, learning institutions and others.
Marty is a member of the Whitehall Education Foundation Board and active member of Love Zion Baptist Church. Her former board appointments include Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers and Maryhaven, Inc. She earned her B.A. from The Ohio State University and was honored to be selected by the Kellogg Foundation to provide input on building sustainable community-based programs.
