Intelligent Demand is an integrated revenue growth agency. We exist to help transform marketers into revenue leaders. Any agency can create activity for their client. Most can create an ad, write and design a piece of content, and maybe even deploy campaigns in marketing technology stacks. Very few can do those things and connect the dots back to what’s most important — creating a scalable and sustainable revenue growth engine.

But how do we do it? It all starts with the talented and passionate marketers that make up the ID team. In this blog series we aim to introduce you to each of our superheroes behind the mission. So, without further ado, please meet…Fatima Manning!

When did you start at ID?

I started in September of 2020.

Describe your career so far, where did you go to school?

I grew up in Cambridge, MA where I attended both college & grad school. I started my career as a front of house audio engineer, making sure the sound was on point for theater productions, sports events, live music and even movie festivals. I always had an interest in business so I continued my education earning my MBA from Simmons College.

Because my schooling was complete, next step was to relocate which is how I ended up in Denver. Starting at 9News, I was able to professionally transition out of live events and into digital marketing. Since relocating, I’ve had experience ranging from a Digital Sales Specialist to an Account Manager. But nothing beats my newest job as a Senior Project Manager at ID.

What do you do here at ID? Describe your role.

My role is to make sure our to-do list is being crossed off. Nothing better than checking off tasks, right? I am part of the account team making sure teams can execute your campaign efficiently and in a timely manner.

What is your favorite part about ID? What drew you in?

The people! The moment I met the ID team I was sold. The people are really great and honor how human each of us are. Now more than ever it’s important your place of employment can truly see you, and ID does a great job at that. It starts from the top down — leadership takes “care” past a cliche level and is constantly taking action to implement needed changes. That type of genuine empathy and consideration naturally trickles down to the rest of the ID team and makes for a great working environment.

When did your journey in revenue growth begin and what have you found the most interesting?

Revenue growth is like a complex 200-piece puzzle that takes an entire team to build — that’s what I find the most interesting and engaging about revenue growth. You truly can’t do it alone or even with one or two people. Of course it can be done but I’m finding that revenue growth takes more care & time than that. The large monetary goal of reaching a certain revenue number can be exciting and has its obvious benefits, but what makes me tick is collaborating to figure out each step it’ll take to get there. And even when you may think you have all the pieces, as time continues, the team may realize the pieces are shifting and morphing into something new. It takes stamina, adaptability and consistent curiosity to navigate the long journeys of growing revenue.

What are your passions outside work? Where can we find you on the weekends?

Naps! But seriously, I’m a big movie/tv watcher. Yes, reality tv too. I’m always curious to learn what other people are watching so I can fill my weekends with streaming. I also enjoy working out almost daily. I tend to wake up bright and early to workout for 1-2 hours which really helps me level set my day, puts me in a good mood and increases my energy for all of the exciting but hard work.

I also love to laugh. I’m constantly laughing at myself but I enjoy making others giggle along with me.

The year 2020. We’ve been faced with a lot of challenges and the desire to see a change. What are you most excited to see come out of it? What have been the silver linings? Where would you like to see the world go from here?

I’m looking forward to watching all the blockbuster feature-films that will go directly to HBO Max. Naps + brand new major movies on the weekend from the comfort of my couch? Sign me up!
